Hear from our urban planners and architects and learn how we are building a sustainable future at Marina Bay.

When Marina Bay was first reclaimed in the 1970s, urban planners foresaw its rich potential for the future growth of Singapore's city centre. Out of the sea, the area has now been developed into the dazzling centerpiece of Singapore's urban transformation.

Spanning 360 hectares of prime land in the heart of Singapore's downtown, Marina Bay has been carefully planned and designed as a seamless extension of the existing Central Business District. It will reinforce Singapore's position as a major business and financial hub in Asia, while also providing new and exciting opportunities for people to live, work and play.

In this $10-million gallery, you can find out more about the development of Marina Bay and explore its landmarks and sights. Come and learn the story behind Singapore's Garden City by Bay at the Marina Bay City Gallery. The official opening was on 18 July 2010.
