History: The Singapore Maritime Gallery was opened on 12 September 2012 by Mr. Lui Tuck Yew, Minister for Transport. Housed on the second storey of Marina South Pier, this modern and interactive gallery was developed by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) at a cost of $5 million. Occupying a total floor space of approximately 1,000 square metres.
